Your kids love Disney. They watch Disney Channel every day, they have hundreds of movies from Disney and all their stuffed animals are Disney characters. Few matter what Disney is, they love it. So its quite natural that when they look older and you take them to Disney World, they also like Well? Chances are yes. I mean who does not like Disney World? The rides, shows, fireworks … its heaven for any child most adults.
However, if your children are not always ready to meet the characters in person, you might have some shocked faces and frightened when you arrive at the park. The truth is, many children seem to pass through a stage where they are afraid of people. It does not matter if its Snow White Mickey Mouse, and Chip N Dale … they all cry!
The reason is, most children are accustomed to seeing these characters on television (where They are 2 inches larger) and has not even thought about what they look like in person. Then when they get to the park, they see Mickey dominate them and its SCARY! How Mickey did they ask so big?
So if you are planning a trip to Disney World, here are some tips on how to prepare your child to meet the characters so they do not scream and cry all day.
1) If you have pictures of you or their brothers and older sisters to Disney World (with characters), start showing it to them before your trip. They will then see how big they are compared their mother, father, brother or sister, and feel more comfortable when they arrive at the park (because they know what to expect). If you do not have photos, go online and show them pictures of other peoples experiences.
2) Pictures of Baby Show them themselves (and how cute they are) and say how much they have grown since. Then let them know that the characters grow too, they will be much largest in the park the last time they saw them on TV.
3) You can also get free videos from Walt Disney World Holiday Planning (407-824-8000). They show the inside of all rides like Haunted Mansion and Pirates of the Caribbean, which may frighten small children. The key is to help your children achieve its all-make believe. If you can not do that, you're golden.
So if you plan visit Disney World during the next few months, I definitely recommend trying some of these things. It will make your vacation go much more smoothly … believe me!
Also, if you're kids are already excited about meeting the characters, then the best park to go to Magic Kingdom. That said, Here are some tips on popular places to find characters in the park.
1) In the Magic Kingdom, the characters hanging next to City Hall on the main street of about 95% of the time. There are usually one or two characters displayed in the city or nearby Place station. Another place to find character is similar to Splash Mountain and the Carousel of Progress in Tomorrowland.
2) Fantasyland also a number of characters appearances. Check out the characters Festival by the lagoon in front of the ride Dumbo. You can also find the Little Mermaid Ariel's Grotto and enjoy storytelling with Belle.
3) Mickey's Toontown Fair is another hot spot for the wishes of characters. The land was about and dedicated characters and children together. At Mickey's Toontown Fair you can meet Mickey closed the tent judges, or meet a bunch of other characters the Toontown Hall of Fame next to the house the land of Mickey. This is where you line up to greet three different groups of characters and each group has its own waiting areas and wishes. One of the groups normally include Daisy Duck, Pluto and Goofy while the other two groups vary somewhat (Chip 'n Dale, Snow White, Belle, Jasmine, Minnie, etc..)
